Love Sacrificed

Back in May/June, I decided that I wanted to make some summer inspired icons. I knew I had the perfect source - namely the thousands of images I took while on vacation in Namibia and South Africa back in February of 2019. Well, between whittling the number of source images down and then starting to make icons, it took me far longer to work on these than I imagined. I also made far more icons than I thought I would.

Out of 17 days (including the days travelling to Africa and home again), I've completed icons for two days. Granted, some of the days (which I had sorted the original images into to keep the numbers manageable and keep track of what part of the trip they belong to) have 100+ images and some have 20 at most. The second day of our trip was to the Namib desert (specifically the Sossusvlei in the southern part of the desert), so the majority of the pictures are from there. Some are from the flight and bus trip to our first place of residence.

So, I've found another host for my icons. I hope it's going to be their home for years to come!

As I don't intend to go back and fix all of the broken links (I've re-uploaded 10,000+ icons and that's not all of the ones I had originally posted!), I decided to put up this master post. It will link to the specific icon folders. Should I ever create new icons (for new fandoms) I will update this list as needed.

Update (07 May 2023): So, the image host (nickpic.host) I had initially picked was shut down. Which means re-uploading everything again. I will update links as I've uploaded them...
Update (13 May 2023): I should hopefully be done with re-uploading everything. Doctor Who and Star Wars weren't as easily separated and a bit messy, but I hope I didn't upload things twice in different folders or completely missed icons.

For a change, I finished all my claims early and within two days of each other. Since I intended to some Doctor Who and Pushing Daisies for free20in20 on top of my doctorwho20in20 and season20in20 claims I decided to post all of them in one go (and one post) :D

These were made for round 45 at free20in20. I already thought I wouldn't be able to enter as I got sick this week (so much for my mad dash to finish last minute) only to be told I had more or less one more day to try. Luckily I did feel better and ended up with rather long stretch to make it last minute. I took me quite a while to find some of those pictures!
Then again, I did take tons of pictures since 2007 and the picture archive from my dad goes even further back (thanks to a hard drive crash of my computer back in 2007 that took everything with it...) and I finally pulled through with my determination to use them more often instead of directly going to other places first :)
