Community Update: Goals 2019
A year and a half after my last life sign in this community I'm back!
I've finally finished typing up all the stories that I had. I thought I'd be done last year by this time, but was already behind on my goal when I found two huge folders (and possible a smaller one) with even more stories. Some of them going back to 2003. Not sure if there had been something from 2001 or 2002 as well but I do remember seeing one dated with 2003.
It was a rollercoaster of emotions as I read those stories/bunnies while typing them up. Some where just some random words or a sentence or two and others were up to 4 or 5 pages. There might have been something a bit longer as well. I have two files (for Harry Potter and Fantastic beats) with stories that are missing a beginning and I can't find the beginning. I'll have to match them up at some point. That's what you get when using loose paper notes (rather small) and getting them all mixed up. It didn't help that at times I started multiple versions of the same rough idea, just slightly different.
Anyway, now that I'm done, I've made it my new years resolution (even if it's still a few days) to go over them and fix errors I find and actually post them. At the very least for the fandoms I'm still interested in. There are also stories for fandoms I'm no longer interested in or only ever was very losely intersted in. The problem is that it's been so long that I don't even know how close to canon the stories are or not - both seen from the time it was written and due to information revealed in later seasons that I didn't watch. On the one side I don't care, on the other - I don't care for reviews telling me "You got that wrong" either. On the other hand - I've written them, it helped me get better and I remember being proud of them. I don't think that should be hidden. So, those stories might or might not be posted.
Either way, I'm hopefuly to finally post stories again.
In other news, the two Fantastic Beasts movies have me longing for icons and since I have a hard time finding icons for them, I've been itching to make some. I've given it a try last year, but wasn't as satisfied with the result and then I focused more on typing up. So, there might also be more icons again.
So, my goals for 2019 are to post stories again and to see about getting back into icon making.
